What should be the ideal weight for 9 months old baby boy and how to increase the weight?

My baby doesn't eat semi solids, if I grind and give him in the bottle then he would drink it. How can I encourage him to eat more? He has completed 8 months. He loves fruits but not dal rice, boiled vegetables and other food.
