12 weeks pregnant. Had a sudden bleeding episode 5 days back and rushed for ultrasound — thankfully heartbeat, growth and cervix were normal after the bleed. Doctor advised strict bed rest, more progesterone support and said some “collected blood/secretion” may continue to come out.
Since then I’m having an on/off pattern:
sometimes nothing for hours
then brown/stringy old blood
sometimes watery pink/red spotting
occasional small fresh red bleeding again(5-10 drops kind of)
No major cramps and otherwise feeling physically okay.
Has anyone experienced similar fluctuating bleeding/spotting around 11–12 weeks and does this hamper or create problems to have a normal pregnancy? How long did it take to fully settle? Also since there is no clear diagnosis in Ultrsound what can be root cause ?
