The first trimester (weeks 1-13) is a time of significant hormonal changes that bring about symptoms such as nausea, fatigue, breast tenderness, food aversions, and mood swings. Some women experience frequent urination or mild cramping as the uterus begins to expand. However, not having symptoms is completely normal and does not necessarily indicate a problem with the pregnancy. Every pregnancy is unique, and the absence of symptoms could simply mean your body is adjusting differently. If you have concerns, discuss them with your doctor during your prenatal visits.
