Craving chocolate during pregnancy? You’re not alone—and the good news is, a little chocolate can actually do some good! Dark chocolate is rich in antioxidants and may support better blood flow to the placenta, reduce the risk of preeclampsia, and even boost your mood. But moderation is key. Watch out for excess sugar, caffeine content, and avoid alcohol-filled or additive-heavy treats. Up to 30g of dark chocolate a few times a week is generally safe—but always check with your doctor, especially in high-risk pregnancies.
