Then & Now – From Dreaming to Doing💫

As a schoolgirl, when asked what I wanted to become, my answer was always the same — a Scientist. I didn’t know the exact path, but I knew I wanted to research and create something meaningful. After graduating in Biotechnology, I chose Clinical Research for post-graduation — a relatively new field I discovered on my own through Education Times. With no guidance but full support from my parents, I trusted my instinct. Though I considered myself average academically, I topped my professional course among doctors and healthcare professionals — proving that passion changes everything.

Starting as a Site Coordinator in an ophthalmology trial, I grew across pharmaceutical companies, MNCs, and CROs to become a Senior Data Management Lead in a leading Clinical Research organization. My work contributes to developing new medicines and potential cures — and that impact keeps me motivated even during demanding, high-pressure phases.

July 2025 was life-changing: I received a professional promotion and, in the same month, the beautiful news of my pregnancy — my most awaited personal promotion. That moment reaffirmed that a woman can grow in her career and her family at the same time.

Today, I am proud of the independence my career in Clinical Research has given me — the ability to support my parents, buy my own home, travel the world, and provide for my child without waiting on anyone else. I’ve grown from a girl with dreams to a woman who executes them with dedication and perseverance.

My favourite line says it best: “All do some, some do all.”

I strive to be in the latter category. 🌸
